Stop complaining, one step at a time.

For whatever reason March has been for me the month of complaints: others complaining to me. I have complaints from friends, family members, and co-workers. I have heard complaints about hating jobs, how life is overwhelming, being overweight, kids that act up, boyfriends who cheat, business passion is gone because business is in trouble, and on and on. All of these people I love and respect but enough is enough.

Life is a gift and believe me I have learned it could be so much worse. I know someone who has a child with an incurable disease and they have to watch their child slowly dying. I know someone who were in a car wreck where two of their friends died instantly and they survived. I know someone who lost the love of their life in a drowning accident. I know someone whose mother died of cancer when they were young, and now they have children of their own and wish their mom was here. I know someone who is watching their parents die of old age.

The amazing thing about all of these people is that they all have hope. Somehow, through it all. They all have taken that next step to move on to climb that mountain and make it to the top. Now I will guarantee you when you get to the top there will be another hill, but it will be smaller.

We all have so much to be thankful for. Make a list of all the little things like hot water to shower with, kids who act up but are healthy, a business in trouble but one with passion. Set some goals and watch your life become amazing one small step at a time.
It is funny thing about climbing that first mountain. You make things happen, take one step at a time and take charge of your life and you wonder what took you so long.

Don’t wait any longer. Whatever your obstacles are, find a way to move past them. You just have to decide if you want to change your life. Or complain.
